News and updates about the library expansion project
The library will be 13,287 square feet (currently 3,100) and will provide the following:
- A wide range of books and materials housed in an environment conducive to study and learning.
- A fully handicapped-accessible building
- Additional seating for library patrons
- A children’s library with dedicated and greatly expanded space for activities, crafts, and story hours.
- An area suited to young adults/teens where they can study, work on homework projects, read, or use the computers.
- A 70-person program room and a 6-person conference room available for expanded library programs.
- A periodical and reference room for quiet reading
or study.
- Capacity for 15 computer workstations for public use (currently there are 3)
- Parking for 32 cars (current parking is for 9 cars)
- Restoration of the current library building with structural improvements.

Thank you! to the many capital campaign supporters in 2006. We have now met the MBLC state requirement to accept the state grant of $2.5 and proceed with the final building planning.
